HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES
Hollywood Vampires is an American rock supergroup formed in 2015 by Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry to honor the music of the rock stars who died from excess in the 1970s. The band name derives from The Hollywood Vampires, a celebrity drinking club formed by Cooper in the 1970s which included but was not limited to: John Lennon and Ringo Starr of The Beatles, Keith Moon of The Who, and Micky Dolenz of The Monkees.
THE KIDS / SIX GUN METHOD
The Kids opened concerts for: Talking Heads, The Pretenders, Pat Benatar, Iggy Pop, The B-52s, The Ramones and A Flock Of Seagulls.
After moving to Los Angeles, The Kids became the Six Gun Method.

FLAME (1976 – 1978)
Flame was formed in around 1976, with a few 9th and 10th graders from the Miramar area.
They played only the easiest rock songs, instrumentals only- nobody sang. They wore t-shirts with a flame on them. They were said to only play one gig, at the St. Bartholomew’s Catholic school carnival, where they were rumored to play instrumental versions of Chicago’s 25 or 6 to 4 and Lynryd Skynrd’s Freebird.

I Flame suonavano le canzoni rock più semplici e soltanto strumentali, nessuno cantava. Si esibivano nei dintorni e nella città di Miramar ed indossavamo una maglietta con una fiamma disegnata. Pare che fecero un solo concerto, a Carnevale alla St. Bartholomew’s Catholic schooldove avrebbero suonato versioni strumentali delle canzoni 25 or 6 to 4 dei Chicago e Freebird dei Lynryd Skynrd.

ZAPHYRE (1978 – 1980)
Zaphyre was together sometime around 1978, and reportedly played “100% Van Halen tunes”. Johnny has also described the band as “more Kiss-type stuff.”

Pare che il gruppo degli Zaphyre suonasse solamente i brani dei Van Halen.
Ad un certo punto ebbero un audizione per un Talent Show alla Miramar High School dove si pensa che si siano esibiti con la cazone Show Your Love (aka I’m The One) dei Van Halen. Non furono presi perchè giudicati “troppo forti” e perchè nessuno di loro frequentava la scuola di Miramar in quel momento.
Nota- Un recente articolo ha riportato che la band che fece l’audizione fossero i Bitch ma Kenneth Andrews, membro di quest’ultimo gruppo, ha dichiarato che a concorrere per il talent furono gli Zaphyre.

BITCH (1978 – 1980)
Bitch was together sometime between 1978 and 1980, and reportedly played “90% Van Halen tunes”. Other bands covered included AC/DC, Frank Mariano and Mahogany Rush, Aerosmith and possibly Foghat.
The band was described as “loud as hell” and played quite a bit while they were together. One memorable gig was at an all-girls’ Catholic school, Madonna High School, and they also played at a dance at a high school in North Miami and one at the North Miami/Hollywood Armory. Other venues included the AOR on Dixie Highway and The Blue Waters on South Beach. They were probably together for a year.

Questo gruppo suonava maggiormente musica dei Van Halen. Altre cover da loro eseguite erano di brani degli AC/DC, Frank Mariano e Mahogany Rush, Aerosmith, e forse dei Foghat.
La Band venne definita come “un casino infernale” e suonò molto insieme.
Per esempio fecero un concerto all’istituto femminile Madonna High School e poco dopo si esibirono a North Miami per un ballo scolastico. Altre sedi di concerti furono l’AOR on Dixie Highway ed il The Blue Waters alla South Beach.
Il cantate Kenneth Andrews entrò in un latro gruppo chiamato Casino Drive nel 1992 diventando molto popolare, soprattutto in Giappone. Infatti ora possiede uno studio di registrazione chiamato Studios KRH a Tokyo.

BAD BOYS (1980)
Bad Boys were together sometime between 1978 and 1980, and reportedly played “50% Van Halen tunes”.
The Bad Boys reportedly included a band member named Tommy Bircheat. Larry Pierce and Ron Norton from Bitch were also members of this band. Jeff Lawson may have been a drummer for the band. Sal Jenco served as the band’s announcer and Barney Manaker helped to book them. This band may have overlapped to some extent with Bitch.

STIFF RICHARD (1979)
Stiff Richard was a band in Broward, South Florida that Johnny was reported to have rehearsed with in around 1979.
David Dukes was a guitarist in the band. There was also a bassist named Ted Sonnesso (aka Fat Teddy) and a drummer named Bob Beck. It’s not known if Johnny officially joined this band.
Gli Stiff Richard erano una band di Broward, nel sud della Florida, con cui Johnny avrebbe dovuto provare nel 1979.

THE RUNAWAYS
The Runaways was another band that Johnny is reported to have been a member of before he joined The Kids.
The best guess is that this band was around in about 1979-1980.

MISCELLANEOUS
Johnny is reported to have played at a Shamrock Shenanigans at Henry D. Perry Middle School, though it is unknown which band Johnny may have been playing in at the time. In addition, he is reported to have played at a guitar recital with Ron Davis and Joe Horvath in 1979. Anthony A. recalls Johnny being in bands called the Lil Generals and Jersey.
